What We Believe

Statement of Faith

This statement expresses what we believe based on Scripture. We hold these truths humbly and invite you to examine them in light of God's Word.

The Authority of Scripture

We believe the Bible is God's authoritative Word. Every truth we teach is grounded in Scripture. We do not ask you to believe us. We encourage you to open your Bible, study the Scriptures, and discover what God's Word says for yourself. When something conflicts with Scripture, Scripture is right and everything else is wrong. We hold the Bible to be the final authority on all matters of faith, doctrine, and life.

Jesus Christ is God and Savior

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He is the only Savior and the only Lord. Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for all sin, rose from the dead on the third day, and ascended to heaven where He sits at the right hand of God the Father. Every believer's hope, freedom, and eternal life come through Jesus Christ alone.

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

Salvation comes by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. We cannot earn it, work for it, or deserve it. God's grace is freely given to all who repent of sin and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Once saved, believers are redeemed and secure in Christ. Salvation is complete and certain through Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God and dwells in every believer at the moment of salvation. The Spirit empowers believers to live holy lives, gives spiritual gifts for ministry, provides spiritual discernment and wisdom, comforts in times of hardship, and leads and guides believers into truth. Believers are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to live under the Spirit's control.

Prayer

Prayer is direct communication with God and the privilege of every believer. We believe God hears prayer and invites us to bring Him our needs, relationships, suffering, hopes, and concerns. We pray for healing, reconciliation, wisdom, provision, and God's purposes while submitting outcomes to His wisdom and will. Prayer is not a work, ritual, or technique for controlling results, but an intimate conversation with our Father. Jesus taught us to pray with boldness, faith, humility, and perseverance.

Discipleship and Growth in Christ

Every believer is called to grow in relationship with Jesus Christ through studying Scripture, prayer, worship, and learning from mature believers. Discipleship is a lifelong journey of becoming more like Christ in character and obedience. Growth requires God's grace, the Holy Spirit's work, and our willing participation through faithful practice of spiritual disciplines.

Holiness and Walking in Truth

Believers are called to walk in holiness and truth. The Holy Spirit works in us to overcome sin, break bondages, restore what has been damaged, and establish patterns of righteousness and peace. We are not called to perfection but to pursue Christ-like character with courage and humility. Walking in truth means believing what God says about us, about others, and about reality itself.

The Believer's Authority and Spiritual Warfare

Jesus Christ has all authority, and believers live and minister under His authority. The New Testament records Jesus and His followers confronting genuine demonic activity, while also teaching believers to resist the devil, stand firm in faith, pray, walk by the Spirit, and remain grounded in truth. We do not teach that every struggle is demonic or that spiritual authority is a technique for controlling outcomes. Spiritual warfare is real, but Christ remains central, Scripture remains our authority, and His victory through the cross and resurrection is our confidence.

We do not ask you to believe this statement because we say it. We encourage you to examine each point in light of Scripture. Test all things against God's Word and hold fast to what is true. Every believer is called to know what they believe and why they believe it. May this statement point you back to Jesus Christ and to the authority of His Word.
