Spiritual Discernment Guide

A Scripture-first reference for understanding spiritual realities. What the Bible actually says — distinguishing biblical spiritual beings, works of the flesh, human wounds, and spiritual attack.

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God."

1 John 4:1 (KJV)

A Word About This Guide

This guide replaces the older "demon list" approach that named a demon for every struggle and provided formulaic "bind and cast out" prayers. Scripture does not support that approach. The Bible affirms that Satan, demons, and unclean spirits are real — and that Christ has authority over them all. But it also distinguishes between the flesh, sin, temptation, sickness, human wounds, and genuine demonic activity.

Not every struggle is a demon. Not every difficulty is spiritual. Discern carefully. Stand in Christ's victory. Walk by the Spirit. And when you face genuine spiritual opposition, exercise the authority Christ has given — in His name, by His Word, through prayer.
