Scriptural Reference

Spirit Library

The Spirit Library examines common areas of spiritual struggle through Scripture. Some struggles are described in the Bible as works of the flesh, sin, temptation, deception, bondage, or spiritual warfare. Scripture also clearly teaches the reality of Satan, demons, and unclean spirits.

A topic appearing in this library does not automatically mean Scripture identifies a demon by that exact name. Our goal is to discern through the Word of God, submit to God, resist the devil where applicable, put off the old, renew the mind, put on the new, and walk by the Holy Spirit in truth and freedom through Jesus Christ.

Every topic is an invitation to open your Bible and study for yourself. Read the passages. Consider the context. Let the Holy Spirit guide your understanding. Scripture is the final authority. When you are ready to go deeper, the Path to Freedom walks you through that process step by step.

"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth."

John 17:17 (KJV)

Discernment Guide

Every entry in this library asks four questions: What does Scripture explicitly say? What can we strongly infer? What is theological interpretation? What is unsupported or contradicted? We label interpretation as interpretation.

AExplicit Scripture
BStrong Inference
CInterpretation
DUnsupported

Each entry also asks how a struggle may operate through these categories. They may overlap. They are discernment tools, not diagnostic formulas.

A Note on How to Use This Library

Each entry in the Spirit Library is a Scripture study, not a definitive theological statement. The goal is to help you engage directly with what the Bible says about topics that come up frequently in conversations about spiritual warfare and deliverance.

We encourage you to read the passages cited in their full context, not just in the excerpts provided here. Open your Bible, find the surrounding chapters, and let the Holy Spirit guide your understanding of the text as a whole.

Where you find these studies helpful, use them. Where you find something that does not sit well with your reading of the full biblical text, trust your careful reading of Scripture over anything written here. Jesus Christ is the center and the authority.
